In this role, you'll use your managed care knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical skills to support development of network solutions that support our business growth. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and craft behavioral network responses and narratives to address inquiries proposed in Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) from prospective and existing clients
  • Creatively solution responses with regional network staff, matrixed partners, and functional leaders across the enterprise
  • Assuring responses are aligned with Optum Compliance and Legal leadership to ensure that proposed solutions are aligned to regulatory requirements across CMS and state agencies
  • Support pre-RFP solutioning and preparedness reviews as necessary
  • Monitor status of key deliverables related to RFPs and RFIs in the business pipeline and manage escalations as appropriate
  • Oversee network analysis and reporting requests as applicable to the inquires made within the RFP or RFI
  • Partnership with current RFP Director to expand coverage and network representation in solutioning discussions

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with a managed care organization or health insurer
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting
  • 5+ years of experience of project lead experience, working in highly matrixed environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Behavioral provider network experience
  • Experience in applying both business and creative writing to RFPs and RFIs
  • Knowledge of MBHO business sectors: Commercial and Public (Medicare, Medicaid, Exchanges)
  • Geographically located in the Eastern Time Zone

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
