Senior Python Engineer (Product Scaling team) (from PST to GMT+4 timezones). Join to apply for the Senior Python Engineer (Product Scaling team) (from PST to GMT+4 timezones) role at Collectly. You will be part of the Collectly Product Scaling Team, and your main goal will be to technically enable product growth. The scaling team is responsible for enabling product scalability, solving performance problems caused by growth and building data interoperability services. Interoperability with medical systems (Electronic Health Records, Practice Management, etc.) is a core part of the Collectly product since it is one of the major issues in the U.S. Healthcare system.

Location considerations: Bellevue, WA and Seattle, WA area with remote options as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrations with medical systems (Electronic Health Record, Practice Management, and Billing systems) in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
  • Develop new integrations: Building bi-directional data exchange interfaces using APIs, Direct Database Connections, Web Parsers, RPAs.
  • Add new features to existing integrations.
  • Maintain existing integrations.
  • Refactor and improve architecture design of existing integrations.
  • Collaborate with Founders and Product Team to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
  • Propose and implement architecture decisions geared towards product scalability and reliability.
  • Craft code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment.
  • Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
  • Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team (technical debt), propose and implement solutions.

Qualifications

  • Significant professional experience (5+ years) with Python, SQL, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery.
  • Experience with developing web parsers (e.g. Selenium) and reverse engineering is a plus.
  • At least basic algorithms and data structure knowledge.
  • Experience in a startup from Series A to Series C is a must.
  • Understanding of race conditions and how to mitigate them by crafting concurrent code.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions.
  • Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent these problems, including SQL.
  • Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
  • Demonstrated ability to onboard and integrate with an organization long-term.
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills: Regularly achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates.
  • An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization.
  • Ability to use GitLab.
