Description:

Performs in-depth analysis on clinical outcomes data in order to develop clinical process improvement initiatives.

  • Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness
  • Evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Leads and directs the work of others
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Typically reports to a head of a unit/department
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

Team Highlights

The Kootenai Care Network is a "Clinically Integrated Network." Through clinical integration, providers, hospitals and payers can work together in a more coordinated way to improve clinical outcomes and provide more cost-effective care. Network members maintain their independence, but work together in a mutually-accountable way. Through data analytics and collaboration, they develop and implement clinical protocols and monitor clinical performance. This helps achieve high quality care in a more efficient manner than can be achieved independently.

As quality metrics among network members improve and measurably better patient care is established, the network is able to engage in value-based contracting with both payers and employers.

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program required
  • BSN and 5 years of clinical experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience
  • Experience with Performance Improvement concepts, principles and practices required
  • Experience teaching, coaching, facilitating, and collaborating with others to achieve group or team learning objectives required
  • Experience in data management and measurement processes
  • Previous experience, or willingness to learn, regulatory standards and applications
