The Tech III will be accountable for assigned jobs, as defined by the Supervisor, may work in tandem with other staff to ensure all routine facility needs of FBH are met. The Tech III is responsible for all needed tasks assigned, including carpentry, dry wall, plumbing, painting, electrical, snow removal, deliveries, general maintenance and provide emergency on-call response as necessary to ensure a clean and safe environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform duties and responsibilities in line with assigned specialty areas.
  • Maintain and perform repairs to buildings as approved and assigned by and under the direction of facilities Supervisor within assigned timeframes.
  • Keep buildings and Landscaping free of garbage.
  • Maintain and repair sprinkler systems.
  • Remove graffiti from buildings as needed.
  • Maintain roofing and keep drains clean and clear of obstructions. Must be able to use extension ladders or wall mounted ladders to access rooftops.
  • Remove and replace air filters and routinely check belts and pullies.
  • Keep interior walls patched and painted.
  • Inspect and maintain interior and exterior lighting daily.
  • Routinely inspect buildings and grounds while performing assigned duties, to identify improvements, make recommendations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Remain current with regulatory and other applicable standards.
  • Perform, coordinate, and complete construction projects making changes according to building codes and FBH standards as required under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Be first response to Facilities On Call when assigned On Call responsibilities. On Call will generally rotate among multiple Facilities staff. On Call schedule will be provided.
  • Clean up biohazard spills as required.
  • Provide assistance with FBH safety programs including fire and disaster drill support and monitoring, safety inspections and OSHA/WISHA compliance practices.
  • Coordinate with Fire, Law Enforcement and other Emergency Response/Life Safety personnel as necessary and/or directed to ensure safety of FBH consumers, staff and other stake holders.
  • Work requires personal compliance with OSHA/WISHA and FBH required safe practices including but not limited to those relating to respiratory and hearing protection, lockout tag, confined space, tool guarding, ladder use and the use of personal protective equipment as appropriate.
  • Comply with FBH policies and procedures and with local, state and federal laws and regulations and assure all regulatory requirements are met according to FBH standards.
  • Coordinate with and assist other Facilities staff in daily routine and projects.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all FBH staff, clients and outside contacts.
  • Maintain and enhance customer service to ensure that both external and internal customers of FBH have a positive experience.
  • Provide support and supervision to participants in FBH's Transitional Employment program as directed by the Facilities Manager or the Manager's designee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

REQUIRED:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of experience in any of the following areas: general maintenance, remodeling, carpentry, electrical or other related fields.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have reliable transportation, insurance and an active drivers' license and be willing to use personal vehicle in the course of work.
  • Must maintain a good driving record.


PAY RANGE (Hourly/ Non-Exempt): $25.09 - $30.58*

*All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus the starting pay is $25.09 per hour.
