**Inventory Specialist- Healthcare (Full Time / Day Shift)**

Responsible for the overall accuracy and efficiency of the organizations medical supply inventory and inventory systems including both perpetual and expensed based inventories. Responsible for meeting applicable regulatory requirements from entities such as the FDA, DOH, and Joint Commission and actively participating during surveys. Effectively obtains the monthly departmental expired supply documentation and audits supply areas throughout the hospital. Trains staff on inventory functions within the MMIS system and educates staff hospital-wide on the proper care and maintenance of supplies. The Inventory Specialist must interact continually and effectively with all staff, responding to and anticipating their inventory needs in a timely manner.

Full Time/Day Shift

Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Qualifications

* Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree highly desired.

* Certified Materials Resource Professional (CMRP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.

* Five years of experience in supply chain logistics required, with emphasis on inventory management preferred.

* Ability to communicate effectively in English. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the principles of inventory control including sterility, package integrity, rotation of stock, expiration dating, and infection control techniques. Ability to produce and maintain accurate inventory documents and reports using Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word. Ability to perform data entry in the MMIS and run reports.
