Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and associated analysis. Prepare pricing and models to evaluate current and new business opportunities. Evaluates current and past financial data. Supports management with ad hoc reporting. Supports the accounting department with special projects, reports and audits. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modelling and forecasting, the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly, and have a genuine interest in understanding and improving the business as a whole. This is an on-site role based at the Spokane, WA facility.

  • Work with department managers to accumulate data and assemble the annual budget and participate in analysis.
  • Analyze financial statements, trends, and variances to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Cash forecasting and weekly reporting.
  • Support annual government service reporting.
  • Wage and hour analysis by cost center and contract.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Payroll to improve reporting and automation.
  • Create financial models for pricing strategy and new lines of business or customers.
  • Assist accounting with compilation of data for payroll purposes.
  • Inventory data analytics and reconciliation.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform financial strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and cost efficiencies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Two years of progressive analyst experience.


Preferred Education and Experience
  • Five years of directly related financial analyst experience.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office and hangar environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a typical office level and while in the hangar with frequent periods of moderately loud noises. Exposure to industrial chemical smells, fragrances, animals, etc.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to a hangar environment with walking/traversing hazards, uneven surfaces and stairs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm but will vary based upon business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. This is an on-site role based at the Spokane, WA facility.

Travel
Occasional travel, primarily local during the business day.

The pay range for this position in Washington state is $34.62 - $39.42 per hour; the hourly rate is influenced by a variety of factors including, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, and geographical locations. Employees will be eligible to enroll in the company's medical/dental/vision insurance, flexible spending account, retirement plan with match contributions, company paid life & disability and financial wellness programs. Hired applicants will receive paid leave and may be eligible for bonuses. This information is provided per the WA State EPOA.
