Joining Weathers & Associates as a Tax Professional means you will serve clients with diverse tax needs and tax problems. You will work under the leadership of an Enrolled Agent whose passion is providing audit representation---an arena where approximately 96 percent of licensed EA's choose not to practice exclusively ---whose goal is to solve tax problems for those in her community and to ensure that jobs and businesses are preserved and flourish. This is a team-based, problem-focused practice that encourages individual thought, problem-solving, and open communication. As a Tax Professional in a growing tax practice, you will be integral to our continued success as a subject matter expert for our clients, both current and future. We are searching for a candidate who understands this is a position through which a personal investment will result in professional growth and potential of a key leadership role.Day to day you will...Preparation of U.S. tax returns for individuals, entities and trusts following sound and substantive theoryLeverage strong organizational skills for office workflow which aligns with the Tax Professional roleAnswer phones and conduct video conferences with professionalism, providing introduction and direction when necessaryDevelop a working knowledge of all office CRM, tax, and workflow softwareElectronically track and save returns according to Firm guidelinesMarketing of resolution services through personal networking and/or attending (pre-approved) events on behalf of WAC (Weathers & Associates Consulting)Additional duties as requiredWhat you bring to our team...Practical knowledge, application, and expertise in U.S. Internal Revenue CodeIs highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) with strong written and verbal communication skills that is paramount to delivering relatable client service in complex situationsExperience with payroll or bookkeeping is preferred but is not a requirementAdherence to the company's core value statement (4.00 WAC Employee Manual):We are a tax debt settlement practice which CARES.
