Weekend shift - work Fri - Sun 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours.Starting Wage $23-$28/hour depending on experience.
This work will include, but may not be limited to assembling and installing components and subassemblies onto equipment being manufactured using a variety of methods and techniques such as drilling, tapping, punching, machining, wiring, low-voltage electrical, hydraulic plumbing (hard line and hose) and testing of the equipment according to design specifications.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent);
- Three (3) years practical experience in the assembly of heavy machinery / equipment or other related disciplines as evidenced by employment history, training, certification, personal interview and/or practical tests as required.
- SKILLS - ability to perform specific technical tasks using normal tools used in equipment assembly such as the layout / termination / connection of wiring and plumbing, lay-out and installation of mechanical equipment and performing operational testing (and repair modification if required) of completed assemblies.In addition, the ability to work in a flexible environment while interacting with other disciplines (engineering, fabrication, stores, etc) and adapting to changing work priorities are essential.
- KNOWLEDGE - the ability to read, interpret and follow drawings / blueprints is essential!In addition, must be able to perform calculations and solve practical problems related to the assembly of heavy equipment.Specific knowledge requirements include the methods, techniques, materials, and tools used in equipment assembly as described above in SKILLS.
Job Duties: - Ensure that all work performed is properly performed, inspected and documented in accordance with Company policy and procedure as well as customer expectations.
- Maintain the pace of production in their area of responsibility.BE AWARE AT ALL TIMES OF JOB DEADLINES!
- Ensure that the Lead is fully informed of the progress of the work under his supervision, including immediately notifying the Lead of problems that could result in work delays.
- Maintain an eye for safety and non-compliance issues.Immediate intervention in all unsafe / non-compliant activities is expected including immediately notifying the Lead of the problem!
- Review Job Master Work Authorizations, Drawings, Notes, and Change Orders in order to continually ensure that work being performed complies with specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.This is to include ensuring that parts and materials are properly controlled, shop supplies and tools are put away when not in use and any other items related to overall shop cleanliness.
- Coordinate work in progress with other personnel as required, including on-coming personnel during the day to day shift changes.
- Coordinate with the Lead and Quality Control to ensure the timely performance of required inspection functions.
- Ensure the efficient use of the time, tools and materials assigned to him.
- Ensure that all labor and materials used are allocated to the correct Job.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead.
