Darigold is seeking a Lab/Sanitation Associate for our dairy production plant located in Spokane, Washington. This person must have the desire and the ability to contribute to the success of the facility. As a member of the production team, the associate will work in a multitask role. The Associate's role is to work independently without direct supervision in a Lab testing/Sanitation environment. Must be reliable. Must have good attendance. This is an hourly union position.
What You Will Do
- Micro Plating Lab samples.
- Reading and interpreting all above plating results
- Maintain documentation and records of Plate samples and results.
- Assist with Maintaining environmental swabbing program, track and report results.
- Ensure proper laboratory procedures are followed as outlined by Darigold's Corporate Quality Department
- Assist with MSS and MCS program.
- Assist Environmental cleaning and monitoring.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Power point
- Able to communicate Plate results as needed to appropriate management.
What You Bring - Minimum of an AA Degree with Studies in Microbiology.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a Dairy or Food Processing/Production Environment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, must be able to complete multiple and repetitive tasks, must be committed to accuracy and quality.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Work with others to achieve team goals.
- Flexibility in hours worked.
- Must maintain high attendance standards and be trusted with an elevated level of responsibility.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
