Honeywell is a seeking a Level 2 Machinist to perform all machining operations on CNC machines required to produce finished products from a variety of materials.This person will work from blueprints, specifications, job layouts, and written and/or oral instructions for the successful set-up and operation of manual machine tools.This person will set-up and operation CNC machine tools, perform dimensional inspection, and perform data collection for paperwork completion. This will also require both lathing and milling.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include but not limited to:Successfully create parts from a blueprint, manufacturing operations and tooling instructions, or engineering instructions.Set-up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc., to very close tolerances Use micrometers/other measuring instruments in order to perform quality control checks on parts in-process and upon completionMaintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly mannerRecommend changes to processes or procedures to improve quality and productivity Exercise care and safe work practices - work requires close tolerances and fine finishes Tasks may include development parts, depending upon production demands and product mixDetermine which of several alternatives to use in conjunction with the programmer to accomplish tasksMake simple program changes and fixture modifications via manual editsSolve problems and deviations in accordance with previous training; interact with engineers to find solutions to new or unusual problemsEnter process data when requiredPerform necessary tasks and paperwork for the proper movement and control of parts and material in conjunction with manufacturing tracking systemActively participate in Honeywell Operating System (HOS) activities, daily meetings, understand what is to be accomplished during the shift, and discuss any new shift related issues.Actively participate in Honeywell Structured Safety Process (SSP) activities, attend daily safety meetings, complete daily, weekly, and monthly safety related tasks. Accountable for work station or work cell housekeeping.Perform daily job functions in accordance with policies from: EH&S, Quality, and housekeeping.LOCATION: Spokane Valley, WashingtonHOURS: 5:00 pm - 3:30 am Monday - ThursdaySALARY: The Salary Range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00 per hour.
