The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) currently has a full-time opening for a Storekeeper for its state-of-the-art Veterans Home in Post Falls, Idaho. Join us in caring for America's Heroes and be a part of a dedicated team committed to making a positive impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehousing, inventory maintenance and medical supply chain. The right candidate will be organized , self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, and must ensure t imely delivery of supplies to nursing home staff and making sure inventory control methods are maintained and will require the ability to drive State of Idaho Vehicles.

Example of Duties

  • Selects supply resources and makes emergency purchases within purchasing authority.
  • Obtains specific product or equipment requirements from users.
  • Locates and picks up supplies from local vendors.
  • Purchases supplies to replenish or update inventory.
  • Issues supplies and fills requisitions
  • Enters and retrieves inventory and purchasing data electronically.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records.
  • Determines proper floor and shelf location for supplies
  • Ensures hazardous materials are stored safely.
  • Performs physical inventory of warehouse and storage facilities and reconciles records.
  • Receives and unloads freight, verifies quantity and quality of orders.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience storing, issuing shipping and receiving materials and supplies
  • Experience applying purchasing procedures
  • Experience applying inventory control methods
  • Experience operating material handling equipment
  • Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system
  • Some knowledge of safety procedures for handling hazardous materials
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications:
  • Some knowledge of materials management in a health care setting. Gained by at least one year of related experience.
