JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of preventive and predictive maintenance activities to keep the facility in good operating condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

* Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.

* Maintains facility grounds and parking areas.

* Performs scheduled vehicle preventive maintenance as needed.

* Performs building repairs including ceiling tile replacement, drywall repair and painting.

* Adjusts cubicles and offices to meet employee needs.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

* Assists with shoveling snow and salting/sanding sidewalks during winter months.

* Assists Maintenance Technicians with equipment installations and repairs.

* Other tasks assigned as needed that might be outside normal job duties.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school education and/or technical skills training

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* A working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access and Outlook (email).

* Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the preventive maintenance and repair of the facilities, equipment and machinery.

* Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

* Four years' experience painting and performing equipment and machinery maintenance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or tools and occasionally must reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to:

* Work near moving mechanical parts.

* Work with electrical equipment and be exposed to the risk of electrical shock.

* Work in high or precarious places.

* Be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

* Work both inside and outside in heat, cold, wet, and dry conditions.

* Frequently use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous conditions.

* Work overtime and weekends on special projects.

* Work in areas with moderate to high noise levels.
