The Position:
We are hiring for a skilled and relational Property Accountant to join our growing team in Spokane, WA. As the Property Accountant, you will handle full-cycle accounting functions for multifamily properties within our real-estate portfolio.
* Perform full cycle accounting for 6-8 communities including accounts payable, journal entries, monthly accruals and reconciliations.
* Reconcile monthly bank reconciliations including follow up and correction of outstanding items.
* Generate monthly Rent Roll, review for accuracy.
* Prepare month-end financial packages according to GAAP, review and analyze variances; distribute to parties as required.
* Interact and communicate with Community Directors and vendors regularly.
* Prepare weekly cash forecasts.
* Review invoice entry and coding for accuracy.
* Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments to vendors.
* Calculate and process payments for monthly property management fees and owner distributions.
* Assist in the preparation of supporting working papers and documentations for annual audits and tax filings.
* Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned.

What We Are Seeking:
A team-focused Property Accountant who can effectively carry-out full-cycle accounting functions while achieving organizational goals.

* Must be determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
* Excellent communication skills; must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
* Must have strong organizational and time management skills with ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
* Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting strongly preferred.
* Minimum one year of general accounting experience.
* Experience in the property management industry strongly preferred.
* Experience with Yardi Accounting software is preferred.
* Candidates should have moderate experience in Microsoft Excel.
* Valid driver's license and insured, operable vehicle.
