Sapphire Health Services is currently seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our team and uphold our commitment to excellence.

JOB SUMMARY:

Working as a Caregiver in our Community Based Care Facility, you will assist residents with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being, while also providing companionship. Caregivers work closely with residents, their families, and care team to provide personalized care that meets each individuals unique needs and preferences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents physical or mental health
  • Assists with serving resident meals
  • Provide companionship and build positive relationships with clients to reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of care provided, including daily logs, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Maintain resident confidentiality
  • Encourage clients to participate in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
  • Support clients in maintaining independence in their daily routines and decision-making
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards in community setting
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, such as falls, injuries, or sudden health changes, following established protocols
  • Collaborate with the care team, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members, to provide coordinated care
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clarity and understanding of care plans and any changes
  • Present for staff meetings and trainings
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • NAC/CNA or NAR or HCA acquired within 120 days of hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or community-based care is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to pass a background check

WHO WE ARE: Brighton Court is located in Spokane Valley, WA. With a capacity of 49 units it is made up 36 assisted living units and 13 memory care units. A one level community, you really get the sense of home. Recently we have been working on upgrading the communities lighting, repainting the entire main lobby and recently upgraded their EMAR system to Pointclick care. Lead by our Executive Director Doug Edington, the community continues to run at or above 98% occupancy. Sapphire provides on going training, tuition reimbursement, competitive wages and generous incentives to all employees.
