MW Consulting Engineers is seeking applications for an onsite IT Manager with 8-plus years of information technology experience to join our consulting engineering firm here in Spokane, Washington. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the information technology needs of a professional services firm and will possess a current working knowledge of network management principles, systems administration and cybersecurity best practices. In addition to possessing technical skills, we are looking for someone willing to take the lead on the implementation and installation of new hardware, software, etc. Some interest in artificial intelligence would be useful as well. Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate strong time management and project management skills, excellent communication skills, and appropriate experience in providing high-level technical support and leadership for this function within our single office location and with remote employees.

Requirements for this position include:

• Candidate must be a United States citizen.
• Be certified with either Microsoft or Cisco; Be willing to pursue others as needed to support the business.
• Be willing to and capable of securing a United States government security clearance; This process will be supported by resources at MW Engineers.
• Strong technical knowledge across various IT skills (networking, systems administration, cybersecurity)

Additionally, the candidate must possess a current working knowledge of:

• Microsoft Server and Workstation OS and Microsoft Office 365 cloud-based services.
• Cisco Firepower Management; MW currently deploys two (2) Cisco Firewall devices.
• Cisco AnyConnect and Duo Two-Factor Authentication.
• DNS configuration
• GPON network systems
• PKI purchase and installation
• VMWare

Additional items that would be useful for this position include:

• Knowledge of (or interest in) the deployment of artificial intelligence technologies.
• Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) operation of existing Avaya phone system.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as project management skills needed to lead and execute implementation of technology initiatives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Business acumen to understand organizational needs and align IT strategy accordingly.
• Basic financial acumen needed to manage IT budgets with Director of Finance & Administration.
