POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Associate performs a combination of cleaning and light maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment for the safety of both the customers and fellow employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Maintains and cleans all Two Rivers Resort restrooms (RV Park & Marina), showers and laundry facilities to the highest standard of customer expectations.
  2. Performs regular general clean-up maintenance of RV Park: Empties trash on a regular basis and disposes of in accordance with environmental and TOSHA regulations.
  3. Performs light repair needs such as light bulbs, heating, and venting systems filters, etc.
  4. Promptly reports any danger or damage to RV Park property, equipment, or electrical boxes to a supervisor, and takes necessary measures to safeguard employees and others.
  5. Assists with day-to-day operational functions and resupply of the Two Rivers RV Park and Marina, including the general guest restrooms, staff restrooms, laundry facilities, cabins, houseboats, and all other Two Rivers RV Park property.
  6. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and general task lists.
  7. Helps keep inventory of all cleaning supplies and other supplies for cabins and houseboats: paper products, dishes, towels, and bedcovers, etc.
  8. Works with customers to identify needs and resolves any complaints and problems in regard to maintenance and cleanliness of park facilities.
  9. Works with both household and industrial cleaning chemicals, extended wearing of gloves and other required safety equipment for extended periods of time may be required.
  10. Becomes knowledgeable in all facets of the daily operations and assists other Two Rivers RV Park employees in the performance of their duties as needed.
  11. Performs regular and scheduled checks of all assigned cleaning areas throughout the shift to ensure that cleanliness and sanitation is maintained to the highest customer service standards.
  12. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with the Spokane Tribal Enterprises policies and procedures.
  13. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  14. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  15. Maintains awareness and sensitivity to Native American Culture.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proficient in basic computing including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and workflow/timesheet systems.
  • Courteous, business-like contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and community at large.
  • Neat appearance and good personal hygiene, in compliance with Spokane Tribal Enterprise's standards.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Dependable, responsible, and reliable in completing job duties and tasks independently, with initiative, and maintaining integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form to convey information to coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts (all days of the week) and hours, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations and conditions.
  • Abide by all safety guidelines and familiarize and follow all Tribal, Federal, and applicable Washington State laws pertaining to operations.
  • Ability to drive and operate a motor vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required: High School diploma or GED; 2 years' experience in customer service; 2 years' experience in cash handling

SUPERVISORY CONTROL

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Stand for long periods of time without defined break periods and working unaccompanied.
  • Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products.
  • Occasionally may be required to work extended shifts of twelve (12) hours or more, on an as needed basis and determined by business needs.
  • Ability to adjust lens of eye to variant distances.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting in narrow spaces.
  • Must be able to safely lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a confined area.

  • Work on and near the water. Must be able to swim or be comfortable around docks/water and withstand constant motion of a floating dock and marina.
