About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Database/Warehouse Architect to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level database and data warehousing solutions. You will play a key role in defining data architecture, creating scalable systems, and ensuring data availability, accuracy, and security. This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Design: Develop and implement comprehensive data architectures for databases and warehouses to meet organizational goals.

  • Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models for operational and analytical purposes, ensuring data consistency and performance.

  • ETL Management: Oversee Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure efficient data integration and transformation.

  • Data Warehousing: Build and maintain robust data warehouses to support business intelligence and reporting needs.

  • Data Governance: Establish policies and standards for data management, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve database and warehouse performance, scalability, and availability.

  • Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with business and IT teams to understand data requirements and provide strategic solutions.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data architectures, processes, and standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data systems, leveraging the latest tools and technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven experience in database and data warehouse architecture.

  • Hands-on expertise with relational and non-relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake).

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Capacity to balance technical depth with strategic vision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in data architecture or database systems (e.g., CDMP, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer).

  • Experience with big data frameworks and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
