Schedule Information: Monday - Friday hours may vary depending on district needs

6:00 am - 8:00 am & 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm*

*This is a "roving" driver position. The person hired into this position will work varying routes and schedules based on department need. This position will begin with a base pay of 4.0 hours/day and additional time will be paid off of a time sheet.

Estimated Start Date: Immediately after hire

start date is contingent upon clearance of background screening

through the FBI and Washington State Patrol.

End Date (if temporary):This is a temporary position through the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year with the potential to transition to continuing employment into the 2025/2026 school year.

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for completion of the following items in addition to those listed in the Job Description (see above)

• Must pass random drug testing as required by law and must undergo a medical examination prior to training.
• Must successfully pass the Department of Transportation physical capabilities test.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Required to have a valid First Aid card including CPR and training for HIV/AIDS procedures (district provided training availble).
• Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance.
• Valid Washington State driver's license or evidence of mobility and valid Washington State school bus driver certificate.
• Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later) preferred.
• I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act.
• Completion of all district-required trainings within thirty (30) calendar days from hire date with the exception of CDL training which could go beyond thirty (30) calendar days.
