Overview/Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking an Infrastructure as Code DevSecOps Engineer to support our federal customer's platform across various infrastructure options, including Government clouds, on-premise, disconnected, and classified environments. The engineer will deploy a CNCF Kubernetes-compliant DevSecOps platform with secure, hardened containers from the DoD Centralized Artifacts Repository to enable rapid operational capability deployment.

Role Responsibilities

1. Maintain and support the DevSecOps stack across multiple security classifications.
2. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) to onboard and support diverse platform teams across various Kubernetes distributions (upstream Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift, VMWare Tanzu, etc.) in cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid, and disconnected environments, both classified and unclassified, in collaboration with Kubernetes distribution vendors.
3. Develop and leverage IaC/CaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators to create cloud, on-premise, and edge-agnostic solutions.
4. Enhance cybersecurity and code security processes within the Platform One stack across all environments.
5. Create IaC/CaC modifications for automated deployment into cloud and government cloud platforms.
6. Implement DevSecOps practices using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools, and maintain containerized applications in Kubernetes. Possess knowledge of source control, build/release methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and software build processes. Demonstrate a passion for automation and a security-first mindset.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Math, or related field
• At least three (3) years of experience managing CI/CD pipelines for various applications
• Five (5) years of experience as a key contributor in DevOps environments utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools
• Active Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Platform One tools and methodologies
• Proven ability to build and maintain large-scale CI/CD pipelines for extensive enterprise applications
• Certifications such as Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP), Certified DevSecOps Expert (CDE), or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
