Qualifications - Minimum

· Proficient in English communication (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension); ability to distinguish colors as required for

quality and safety standards

· BSME/IE/EE plus a minimum of four years of related experience (additional experience may preclude some schooling

requirements)

· MS Project, Access, CAD software, Gerber software

Qualifications -

· Eight years related experience

· In-depth knowledge of PCB manufacturing and electromechanical assembly

Work environment and conditions, travel, potential hazards

This is an electronics field service and manufacturing environment that requires the use of safety devices including glasses with side shields and ESD equipment/clothing.

Requirements:

Specific duties and responsibilities

· Customer's point of contact (board and unit level)

o Initial Gerber review-layers, fabrication drawing, panel drawing, critical part design issues

o Labor quotations

o Review customer's designs for manufacturability (DFM)

o Primary technical new product interface with customers and designers

· Post surface mount process and final assembly development and long-term optimization

o Time standards and associated routings

o Floor layout

o Workstation design and set-up

· Post surface mount and final assembly support

o Ongoing production support

o Assembly instructions

o Process development and long-term optimization (not including Wave Solder)

· Component supplier technical support (i.e., PCB's, mechanical parts, IC's, etc.)

· Initial contact for all production quality concerns (other than SMT line)

· Maintenance of all product assembly documentation for post and final assembly

· Review and approve all ECO changes and attend ECO meetings

· New product introduction

o Chair product team meetings and document action items for significant new products

o Develop staffing and capacity models for significant new products

· Generate and implement cost reduction ideas

· Material review board product representative

· Supervise as needed on a project-by-project basis

· Manage junior engineers, technicians in order to leverage engineer time

· Manage multiple priorities with minimum supervision

· Assist in guidance of production schedule, material purchasing, etc
