Responsibilities

As an Aerial Foreman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right, being the best, and you're up for the challenge.

  • Install and/or repair aerial CATV, coaxial, and fiber cable
  • Place, relocate, and remove poles, lines, open-wire, drop, and block wire to maintain efficient operation of customer facilities
  • Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers
  • Review project plans, specifications, and installation instructions to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Direct activities on the job site
  • Properly fill out necessary documentation and record time for the crew
  • Communicate with the Area Supervisor or Manager
  • Act as the lead for in-house crews
  • Oversee daily schedules, delivery schedules, and productivity of the aerial crew

Qualifications

About You:

  • You have a track record of completing work with high quality
  • You enjoy solving hard problems with a hands-on approach
  • You are seeking long-term projects
  • You enjoy working closely with your team
  • You have 3+ years of experience in telecommunications construction
  • You understand the telecom construction industry
  • You possess skills in coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, aerial and underground construction
  • You are comfortable working in a bucket truck and climbing poles
  • You understand OSHA safety requirements
  • You have knowledge of CATV building practices and field equipment
  • You hold OSHA 10, CPR, and Flagging certifications
  • You can operate a digger derrick truck
  • You can lift up to 70 lbs and work at heights up to 35 feet
  • You can read and interpret work orders and cable prints
  • You are flexible to work on call, evenings, and weekends
  • You work well under pressure and in changing environments
  • You are comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions
  • You demonstrate leadership skills
