The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our growing Electrical Construction division in Spokane. Additional responsibilities include:

• Project Estimates: Evaluates costs and constructability issues in preparing estimates, ensures accuracy of cost estimates, develops project cost estimates based on schematic or detailed descriptions, and can develop initial budgets without engineering drawings or specifications. Performs subcontractor and vendor estimate reviews, coordinates duties such as lead generation, customer service, and project start-up.

Communication: Develops requests for proposals, conducts discussions and meetings with subcontractors, vendors, architects, customers, and management, evaluates and communicates project risk, and identifies prospective business opportunities aligned with the company's strategy.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

• Knowledge of building systems and applications
• Working knowledge of Trimble Accubid software and databases
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or construction-related fields or equivalent work experience
• Field experience in electrical estimating preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; SharePoint knowledge preferred
• Four years of estimating experience preferred
