SUMMARY STATEMENT & PURPOSE: This position requires identifying, measuring, and recording financial transactions (bookkeeping) in accordance with general accepted accounting principles and standards, as well as, summarizing, interpreting, and reporting financial results for the organization. The following core responsibilities are as follows:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
  1. Demonstrates strong attention to detail and analytical skills while preparing balance sheet and income statement journal entries by researching and analyzing financial data in accordance with GAAP.
  2. Analyzes and infers conclusions from published financial reports.
  3. Uses knowledge of accounting principles and to reconcile any inconsistencies within the financial statements.
  4. Maintains source documentation in an organized fashion for internal audits and/or audits from outside entities.
  5. Maintains confidentiality of all financial transactions as instructed.
  6. Preserves financial controls by preparing and updating policies and procedures.
  7. Prepares and reports on budgets, cost volume profit analysis, and pro forma (return on investment analysis) to assist the organization in timely and accurate financial decision making.
  8. Decision Support with the development of dashboards through advanced excel skills and use of systems to maximize decision support capabilities for end users.
  9. Creates and maintains various tracking tools utilizing Excel, Word, and other software.


Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with general ledger functions and GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of accounting software, and Internet basics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in accounting or finance
  • Experience with Sage accounting software.


Salary Description

$23.67 - $35.51
