About this Role
A Project Engineer within QISG is involved in a variety of engineering projects with a focus on structural aspects of energy related infrastructure including transmission & substation structures and foundation systems. With an emphasis on design-build delivery methods for large-scale energy generation and transmission-related projects QISG works closely with our in-house, multi-disciplinary engineering and construction team — including civil, structural, geotechnical, estimating, construction management, and construction experts. A Project Engineer within QISG plays a crucial role in providing design solutions on large scale projects.
This role is an office-based position with a primary focus on executing pre-construction design, development of construction plans, and construction support services during construction and erection. Typical activities involve structural engineering calculations and modeling, design document development, and coordination of civil construction specifications. The Project Engineer will be expected to apply standard and advanced engineering principles, under the oversight of a Senior Professional Engineer, to solve complex problems. A successful candidate is able to utilize sound engineering judgement, work both independently and collaboratively, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and team members to develop economical solutions to support QISG construction pursuits and projects. The successful candidate will also be expected to communicate effectively with project management, technical, and construction personnel.
