Join the Milton Hershey School (MHS), one of the leading private schools dedicated to providing an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. At MHS, we cover all costs for students, ensuring they receive housing, meals, and comprehensive support.

As a married couple, you will have a rewarding role as Flex House Parents, where your primary responsibility will be to live in on-campus student homes and nurture approximately 8-12 students. Your supportive presence will provide a family-like atmosphere while you manage daily responsibilities such as driving, medication administration, budgeting, and reporting. Initially, you will work across various homes before being assigned to a specific one.

  • Competitive salary of $43,825 per person, leading to a total compensation package of approximately $150,000 per couple, which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working or volunteering with youth, especially those from underserved communities.
  • This is a shared job opportunity; applicants must be legally married for at least two years.
  • Both spouses must be at least 27 years old.
  • No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
  • Must abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol is allowed while on duty.
  • Pet restrictions: only fish and one dog of approved breeds are permitted.
  • A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
  • Couples should be prepared to lead daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (note: proselytizing is prohibited).
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary.
  • Candidates must exhibit a high degree of integrity, serving as role models for students.
