ABOUT THE ROLE

The Executive Director oversees and directs the daily functions and efficient operations of the community, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. This role guarantees the highest quality of service for residents, maintains financial stability, and fosters a harmonious environment for all team members.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Oversee, plan, develop, organize, implement, manage, control, and direct all daily community functions, including policy development, departmental coordination, and resident engagement activities.
  2. Collaborate with the Director of Sales to promote and market the community, implementing referral and outreach programs to meet occupancy goals.
  3. Manage operations, finances, and reporting, including budget approval, financial record keeping, and ensuring policy compliance.
  4. Ensure community safety and maintenance, complying with OSHA and safety policies, and managing safety investigations and injuries.
  5. Recruit, hire, evaluate, motivate, and monitor staff performance, ensuring fair and consistent evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  6. Arrange coverage for department duties during absences and train Managers on Duty.
  7. Represent the community professionally, interacting with outside agencies, residents, and visitors.
  8. Conduct resident satisfaction surveys and develop improvement plans.
  9. Develop and track budgets, seeking cost-saving efficiencies daily.
  10. Ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with company standards and values.
  11. Maintain personal professionalism, appearance, and adherence to dress code.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years leadership experience in hospitality, senior living, healthcare, or related fields.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and peak hours; valid driver's license required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and handle emergency situations calmly.
  • Proficiency with PC, office equipment, and Microsoft Office Suite.
