Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of Avista Senior Living Nampa.
  • Perform a variety of building maintenance and mechanical work, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, drywall repair, HVAC, and minor equipment repair.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance and repair issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the community and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of tools, supplies, and equipment areas.
  • Follow fire and disaster safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain infection control and universal precautions practices.
  • Report unsafe conditions and defective equipment immediately.
  • Replenish maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Promote teamwork and be on-call to ensure 24/7 building coverage.
  • Prepare apartments/rooms to be rent-ready before new residents move in.
  • Conduct weekly community inspections to identify repair needs and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of supply needs and perform other necessary duties.
  • Transport residents to medical appointments.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous maintenance experience.
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience with TELS.
  • Strong maintenance knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, tile and carpet installation, HVAC, appliance repair, roofing, and fencing.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to lead, organize, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of working under pressure, multitasking, and problem-solving independently.
