Description

As a Design and Construction Program Manager, you will work closely with all First Mile Amazon stakeholders to successfully deliver projects that allow Amazon to continue to honor our customer delivery promise. You will immerse yourself in program and project management activities that will continuously challenge you.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Plans, implements, coordinates, and tracks all activities necessary for partner execution teams to successfully launch new builds, retrofits, and expansions in support of the First Mile networks.
  2. Ensures the installation of all finishing aspects and equipment that make a building functional for processing volume for our customers.
  3. Drives project execution, standardization, and process improvement.
  4. Builds partnerships and leads through influence with contractors, vendors, construction and engineering teams, and other stakeholders to meet project milestones.
  5. Collaborates with all project teams to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  6. Supports program initiative goals by delivering projects of varying complexity.
  7. Travel up to 80% at peak times to support our customers, across different regions. Travel requirements may vary based on project type and season.
  8. Ensure controllership to deliver work on time, within safety, quality, and budget requirements.

A day in the life

Manage projects varying in complexity, time, and budget from kick-off to close-out while executing program initiatives. Work at pace with high ambiguity and minimal oversight, demonstrating ownership throughout the project lifecycle. Lead stakeholder influence through meetings, site visits, and technical discussions. Be physically present on-site to meet project goals, coordinate with vendors and contractors, communicate project status and risks, and drive results. Lead by example, communicating effectively across stakeholders, including the PMO.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy and communicating results to leadership
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of process improvement experience
  • Master's degree or MBA in related fields

Compensation ranges from $104,100 to $185,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Additional benefits may include equity and sign-on bonuses. Apply via our career site until the position is filled.
