Account Manager- LTL/Freight

Description:

As a member of a sales team, the sales professional is responsible for new business development, account implementation, and maintaining and deepening customer relationships within a defined geographic territory specific to LTL business.

Essential Functions:

  1. Develops new business by identifying potential customers, growing revenue, conducting background research, analyzing customer needs, and developing LTL solutions.
  2. Maintains existing business by understanding the customer's business and supply chain through research, customer interaction, and collaboration with sales and support teams.
  3. Coordinates with internal teams such as sales, operations, and support to ensure a seamless customer experience and a holistic view of customer needs.
  4. Manages and executes key success factors to meet quarterly goals.
  5. Leverages technology tools including internal systems, mobile devices, and Microsoft Office suite.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or two (2) years of B2B sales experience, including two (2) years in LTL sales or FedEx B2B sales. Ability to travel overnight is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in transportation or LTL preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), Salesforce.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills, discipline, and adaptability in a team environment.
  • Mid-level negotiation skills for market-based pricing within company parameters.
  • Ability to collaborate with local operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

B2B Sales Experience, LTL/Freight Experience.

Additional Details:

This is a face-to-face field sales role. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Spokane, WA or surrounding cities.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $51,975 - $98,250. The actual starting salary depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
