As the Director of Quality & Opex within the Solstice Advanced Materials spinoff, you will ensure top-quality products and processes, drive continuous improvement, and enhance operational efficiency. Your focus will be on increasing customer satisfaction through industry best practices using digital, lean, and Six Sigma tools, collaborating, coaching, and mentoring ISC leaders worldwide. You will also foster a culture of excellence and innovation, aligning team members with strategic goals.

You will report to the Senior Director of ISC in AIS within the spinoff. The role can be based in Spokane, WA, or Morris Plains, NJ, based on your preference, both offering dynamic environments for impactful work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Guide and manage the quality function within the AIS division, ensuring robust and effective quality control processes.
  2. Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure high product and process quality, continuously seeking improvements.
  3. Enhance organizational and process effectiveness through digital tools, streamlining operations and reducing inefficiencies.
  4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency and reduce waste, fostering lean thinking.
  5. Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements, maintaining trust and satisfaction.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
  7. Interface with commercial, ISC, and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure satisfaction, acting as a key liaison.

The annual base salary range is $170K - $200K, with consideration of various factors such as experience, education, skills, and market conditions. The position is incentive plan eligible.

Due to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or have asylum/refugee status.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience focused on quality control or operational excellence.
  • Strong communication skills to guide and motivate teams.
  • Proven experience implementing processes for continuous improvement.
  • Background in Six Sigma, Lean, Digital tools, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

VALUED SKILLS

  • Digital process affinity and knowledge of the latest digital tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the advanced materials industry, familiar with quality standards.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills contributing to organizational success.
