Are you passionate about building AI systems that drive real-world impact? After meeting with a good friend at Legalweek we discussed an exciting role that would be coming out, this role is now live with me and my team. My client needs a Data Scientist, to design, train, and deploy cutting-edge machine learning and language models that power critical use cases in eDiscovery, Data Governance, Cyber Incident Response, and Legal Automation.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deploy AI/ML models and data pipelines that enable automation of complex legal and data workflows.
- Architect and orchestrate LLM-powered Agents to support tasks like document review, privilege detection, and legal data classification.
- Collaborate with developers, PMs, and legal SMEs to turn complex use cases into scalable AI-driven solutions.
- Leverage GenAI tools to automate sensitive data redaction, intelligence extraction, and task-specific decision-making.
- Own the end-to-end data science lifecycle—from data wrangling to production model deployment and impact measurement.
- Stay on the cutting edge of AI advancements through ongoing research and experimentation.
You Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Strong experience with machine learning, NLP, LLMs, and data modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
- Solid foundation in statistics, optimization, and algorithm design.
- Experience building and deploying production-ready ML models and pipelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Bonus Points For
- Experience in eDiscovery, legal tech, automation, or cyber/data governance.
- Work in legal environments (law firms, LSPs, or government legal projects).
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration platforms or SDK development.
- Exposure to federal compliance and government contract work.
