Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school or need an at-home or flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual spans across three states, Arizona, Indiana, and Texas, with new states introduced each year.

Overview Stellar Virtual seeks a highly motivated and certified Middle School Health/PE Teacher to join our team. This remote position will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective health and physical education instruction to students in grades 6-8 through our virtual learning platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of health and wellness principles, physical fitness concepts, excellent communication and technology skills, and a passion for fostering healthy lifestyles and physical activity in an online environment.. Responsibilities include curriculum implementation, assessment, individualized support, and collaboration to ensure student success.
Essential Duties - Deliver engaging and interactive live virtual lessons aligned with the Washington State Standards for Health and Physical Education for grades 6-8.
- Utilize a variety of online teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and needs, adapting physical activities for the home environment.
- Develop and deliver asynchronous learning activities, including interactive assignments, projects, discussions, and resources for at-home physical activity.
- Provide clear and timely feedback on student work to promote understanding and growth in health concepts and physical activity engagement.
- Facilitate virtual discussions and provide individualized support to students as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Implement the Stellar Virtual health and physical education curriculum effectively and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs and home environments.
- Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning in health knowledge and participation in physical activity.
- Analyze student data to identify learning gaps and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists and other teachers to enhance the health and physical education curriculum for the virtual setting.
- Support on-site testing events periodically throughout the year (required).
- Participate in virtual professional development and collaborate with colleagues on online teaching best practices.
- Work collaboratively with student support services (e.g., counselors, special education) to address student needs.
- Attend virtual staff meetings and contribute to the overall success of Stellar Virtual.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes - Minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a Middle School setting.
- Experience teaching a range of Middle School health and physical education topics.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing online learning platforms and educational technology tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
- Passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity among students.
- Residency in the state of Washington is required. This position is open to any city within Washington state.
Education & Certification Requirements - A bachelor's degree in Health Education, Physical Education, or a related field.
- A valid Washington teaching license with an endorsement in Health and Physical Education (grades 6-8) or equivalent.

The pay range for this role is:
48,500 - 55,000 USD per year (Remote (Washington, US))
