About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join a global marketing and business development team in an international law firm.

This role focuses on supporting practices within the Real Estate and Global Sourcing business units, driving initiatives that enhance the firm's market position, expand client relationships, and elevate its overall reputation.

This role is hybrid (2 days at home, 3 days in office)

The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys and leadership to develop and execute business development strategies, spearhead strategic initiatives, and implement a wide range of client-focused activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with practice group objectives.
  • Advise attorneys on client pitch strategies and create tailored proposals and pitch materials.
  • Conduct market and client research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
  • Plan and manage client-focused events to support practice-specific and firmwide business goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of lawyer directory submissions (e.g., Chambers and The Legal 500).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business development initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in professional services or law firm business development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative and collegial mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with legal-specific applications is a plus.
