Position: FP&A Manager

Compensation: $160 + 15% bonus

Location: Washington, DC

We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join our clients finance team at a leading regional bank. This role is critical in delivering financial insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong banking industry knowledge, advanced financial modeling skills, and the ability to partner effectively with business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the bank and its major business units.
• Provide strategic and financial analysis to support executive decision-making, including profitability, loan portfolio performance, and deposit trends.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for scenario planning, stress testing, and regulatory capital forecasting.
• Analyze and report on variance to budget/forecast, including revenue, expense, and net interest margin performance.
• Collaborate with treasury, lending, retail, and risk management teams to provide insights into business drivers and performance trends.
• Prepare and present monthly reporting packages for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline FP&A operations and reporting efficiency.
• Support regulatory reporting and CCAR/DFAST planning processes as needed.
• Lead or support the implementation of planning software/tools and drive continuous improvement in financial systems and dashboards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 6+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of bank financial statements, including interest income/expense, loan/deposit dynamics, and capital ratios.
• Proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling; experience with Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or similar tools a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
