Salary: $95,000 - $115,000/year DOQ

We are seeking an energetic and skilled Project Engineer as we develop and execute a wide variety of projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence and initiative and be able to move tasks forward with oversight from our project managers.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with the community: Collaborate with clients and community members to realize project visions and enhance community well-being.
  • Creating civil engineering designs: Prepare conceptual and final designs, complete construction documents using Civil 3D standards, oversee technical staff, prepare stormwater drainage reports, and ensure QA/QC adherence.
  • Assisting Project Manager with project execution: Complete design components, track task budgets weekly, ensure timely deliverables, and participate in project meetings.
  • Managing the permitting process: Coordinate reviews with authorities, negotiate permitting requirements, and provide permitting timelines.
  • Communicating effectively: Maintain clear verbal and written communication, create engaging presentations, and foster stakeholder understanding.
  • Strengthening client relationships: Meet client expectations on budget and schedule, communicate challenges and options, and foster loyalty.
  • Completing project documents: Manage documentation, draft reports, review team deliverables, and prepare for client submission.
  • Participating in business development: Identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and participate in interviews and presentations.

What you bring

  • A passion for service, communication, creativity, and high-quality work.
  • A PE license and a bachelors degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Project management experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A balanced mix of logic and creativity.
