MW is seeking a Marketing Manager to work closely with senior management and be responsible for supporting companywide marketing efforts consistent with the goals of the leadership group. This position will be responsible for directly supervising marketing staff, leading the development of proposal submittals, marketing communications, market research, advertising, and business development efforts.

We are seeking someone who has the confidence and creativity to bring innovative ideas to the table and be willing to implement them. Industry experience is a plus, but most importantly, we are seeking a candidate who will complement our team.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with principals, associates, and project managers to align marketing efforts with leadership objectives.
• Identify relevant project pursuits by overseeing research on RFQ/RFPs through various procurement websites.
• Research and advise management on alternative or enhanced marketing strategies and opportunities.
• Support the development of pursuit strategies, including providing business intelligence on clients and competitors.
• Manage all marketing efforts and provide strategic direction/guidance in developing strategies for responding to and preparing materials for proposals, qualifications packages, and client presentations.
• Perform detailed reviews of requests for proposals or qualifications and develop deliverable summaries to inform the development of response materials.
• Coordinate consultant materials, customization of project profiles and team resumes, and development of customized graphic layouts.
• Oversee the development, organization, and maintenance of firm information for use in Firm Qualifications and associated materials.
• This includes photos, resumes, project information, and other relevant archives.
• Lead content development, working with project team leaders for social media and the firm's website.
• Develop a marketing plan that aligns and supports the business plan for the coming year.
• Assist with developing and managing the annual marketing budget.
• Remain current on all industry standards to ensure quality proposals.
• Support client focused activities to build client relationships and enhance understanding of client needs.
• Organize and facilitate marketing leadership meetings.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and subject matter experts across disciplines.
• Suggest new ideas and processes; stay informed of developments in practice areas; view obstacles as opportunities as you actively participate in a meaningful team environment.
• Travels as needed to support additional marketing efforts, which may require attendance at events outside of normal business hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field preferred, applicable experience can be substituted for academic credentials.
• 7+ years of marketing experience and/or creating proposals for a professional services firm.
• Prior experience with proposals and business development in the AEC industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Deltek Ajera and GFS is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, contact management and social media platforms.
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and work well with a variety of staff.
• Effective time management skills and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deliverables.
• Visually literate with strong verbal and graphic communication skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; active listening and follow-up skills.
• Capable of working productively in a team setting, as well as independently.
• A strong work ethic, flexibility, and a creative approach to problem solving are essential.
