Your Role on the Team

We are looking for an experienced software engineer focused in one of the following subdomains:

• Computational Geometry – Demonstrated work experience developing computational geometry algorithms. Strong understanding of mathematics, state of the art computational geometry, and optimization techniques
• Materials Simulation – Demonstrated work experience writing programs to simulate solid matter (composites preferred). Strong understanding of FEA, materials science, and simulation techniques
• Software Architecture – Demonstrated work experience architecting software (modern C++ highly preferred). Strong understanding of design and software architecture patterns

Responsibilities:

• Develop the next generation of continuous fiber toolpathing software
• Produce and drive adoption of best practices for coding and testing
• Any other tasks necessary to assist in the growth and development of the company
• Able to work full time on site at Continuous Composites in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, materials science, mechanical engineering, or other related field, 6+ years related work experience
• Must haveat least 3 years experience in one or more of the following
• Materials Simulation
• Software Architecture
• Must havestrong development skills in at least one OOP language (C++ preferred)

Desired Experience:

• Advanced computational geometry and/or linear algebra: CGAL, Eigen, or other libraries
• Experience with CAD
• Experience with modern C++ (C++11 or later)
• Robotics, particularly path-planning and/or kinematics, G-code, etc.
• Finite element analysis tools and underlying methods
• Additive manufacturing, broadly
• Experience with Git
• Relevant Masters or PhD
