Recruiter - Accounting & Professional Services

Overview:

Our client, a mission-driven organization, is seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to lead financial operations and strategic initiatives. This leadership role sits at the intersection of fiscal oversight, client service, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance team, including supervision of Accounting Managers and coordination with HR on staff planning and recruitment
• Oversee all aspects of annual audits and 990 schedule preparation
• Ensure accounting compliance and accuracy in partnership with internal leadership and compliance teams
• Drive financial systems improvements and oversee implementation of software upgrades
• Support business development efforts by reviewing and finalizing financial components of client proposals
• Participate in onboarding new clients, ensuring strong financial infrastructure and integration
• Maintain a high standard of service delivery in a client-focused environment, particularly within fiscal sponsorship and business operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including leadership roles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general experience with additional Microsoft products
