+ About the job: This role supports monthly close and financial reporting activities for insurance entities, with a focus on Statutory accounting. It's ideal for someone looking to grow within the finance function while contributing to quarterly and annual NAIC filings. + We're looking for someone who: --- Has 2-4 years of experience in P&C Statutory Insurance Accounting --- Holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related Business field --- Has 1-3 years of direct insurance accounting experience (CPA preferred) --- Understands Property & Casualty insurance accounting principles and terminology --- Is highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel --- Manages tasks independently while adapting to shifting priorities --- Has strong organizational and analytical skills with a high attention to detail --- Communicates clearly and works well with both internal and external stakeholders --- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic + What you'll do: --- Record and reconcile journal entries for revenue, investments, losses, and expenses --- Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts --- Prepare and file quarterly/annual statements for assigned insurance entities --- Submit various regulatory filings --- Support internal and external audit processes and documentation --- Ensure internal controls are operating effectively --- Conduct ad hoc analysis of key expense categories to support monthly close --- Provide financial reporting support and assist with fluctuation analysis Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
