Position Summary:
The Lead Software Engineer for our Portals team will be a key contributor to full lifecycle software development while coaching, leading, and mentoring their technical team. This role oversees the technical details and day-to-day execution of new features and operational activities within the development team in collaboration with the technical product owner, release engineer, and other engineering leadership. The Lead Engineer is a critical element in our agile delivery process for new features and capabilities to support our growing music royalty processing platform which includes web and mobile applications as well as integrations with multiple internal and external systems. DC-based candidates will be required to come into our DC office twice a week. All other candidates will be asked to travel into the DC office approximately 3-4 times per year for all staff meetings or as other business needs dictate.
