Material Handler - Overhead Crane Operator (Swing Shift)
Summary:Material handling, packaging, and cleaning equipmentResponsible for following written and verbal work instructions.
Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Salary:$19.00-$22.00/hr.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and actively engage in Seaport Steel's Safety Program
- Operate Forklift
- Utilize a Crane to move material within the facility
- Review customer work order: materials, and customer order specifications.
- Verifies material stock before packaging products, loading trucks, or processing job orders.
- Loads/unloads material stock using a hand forklift with an overhead crane.
- Load truck for shipment with supervision.
- Process stock pulls with supervision.
- Build skids and pallets.
- Cleans and packages material for shipping.
- Communicate with a supervisor or team lead regarding warehouse procedures.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
