Compensation: $300,000 – $500,000 + Performance Bonus + Strategic Equity Participation

Overview

Canvy is the parent company and operational umbrella overseeing a strategically aligned ecosystem at the intersection of capital, defense, and sovereign innovation. Through Canvy Capital Division, which includes Canvy Hedge Fund, Canvy Private Equity, and Canvy Capital Trust- we manage $119MM in assets under management, deploying capital across sectors vital to national and global infrastructure. Our approach is driven by precision capital strategy, asymmetric market intelligence, and high-trust operational discretion.

Alongside the capital division, Canvy Venture Labs serves as our venture incubation and deployment arm, stewarding a portfolio of over 33 companies across biotech, defense, energy, AI, immersive media, and strategic infrastructure. Each portfolio company is engineered for alignment with sovereign priorities, industrial base resilience, and U.S.-aligned technology corridors. Our mission is to seed, scale, and shield the ventures defining tomorrow's global operating system.

At the core of Canvy's intelligence and field strategy is Canvy Ventures portfolio company BLACKPAGE, our proprietary algorithmic platform, providing us with intelligence reports, for operations and projects. BLACKPAGE functions as the intelligence backbone across the Canvy ecosystem, supporting pre-operational modeling, classified alignment, and high-risk deployments. With access to transnational data, classified liaisons, and AI-powered simulation tools, BLACKPAGE underpins sovereign deployment strategy while ensuring all operations remain synchronized with U.S. defense and national security priorities, in alignment with the Department of Defense.

Position

Canvy is seeking a strategically embedded Director of Advanced Programs to lead dual-use deployments, classified-aligned technologies, and sovereign integration across frontier sectors. You will oversee the strategy, development, and transition of next-generation defense and infrastructure technologies across the Canvy ecosystem.

This role interfaces directly with the Canvy Cabinet, composed of former CIA, DoD, FBI, DHS and NSA leadership, and BLACKPAGE- our embedded intelligence and clearance unit. You'll support Canvy Venture Labs' portfolio of 33+ companies across space, AI, quantum systems, and critical infrastructure, ensuring operational fit and sovereign deployment readiness.

You'll serve as the primary translator between high-sensitivity exotic technologies and real-world, geopolitically synchronized field use. Prior work with DARPA, DIU, SCO, or Lockheed Skunk Works, Boeing's Phantom Works and or tech transition programs are required. Candidates should bring expertise in managing classified or semi-classified R&D and piloting strategies in the U.S. and partner-allied theaters, for black budget & skunk-works research across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead integration strategy for dual-use and defense-forward technologies across Canvy's portfolio

• Oversee R&D operations, pilot deployments, and transition programs across AI, quantum, energy, and space systems

• Coordinate with BLACKPAGE, Canvy Cabinet, and sovereign partners to ensure secure and aligned field operations with black budget & skunk work research across US

• Translate DARPA-style innovation into operational readiness and commercial-defense application

• Guide geopolitical risk modeling and regional deployment readiness assessments

• Serve as senior liaison between capital, technical, and strategic operations teams

Qualifications

• 7+ years in advanced R&D, DARPA, or national security innovation (SCI/TS clearance strongly preferred), and or Lockheed Skunk Works, Boeing Phantom Works

• Familiarity with DIU, FFRDCs, SCO, or technical pilot programs in classified or restricted environments

• Proven experience managing field deployment, dual-use tech, and sovereign-partnered transitions

• Technical background in aerospace, quantum systems, AI, autonomous systems, or critical infrastructure

• Strategic acumen for operating in high-discretion, multi-stakeholder, and geopolitically sensitive environments
