Deputy Project Manager

Description:

AFO is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to work at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Join our team of professionals and support project management functions including estimation, tracking costs, developing schedules, requirements analysis, risk management, change management, problem-solving, process improvement, and documenting lessons learned. Also, develop acquisition strategies, provide project documentation, and develop, monitor, and report on project metrics and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities for moderately complex technical or non-technical projects.
  • Lead and coordinate project activities within program guidelines, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are maintained.
  • Coordinate with resource managers and ensure reviews and approvals are completed.
  • Conduct analyses to benefit future projects and provide technical assessments and reports.
  • Work with government project leads to aggregate technical data and monitor project progress across all phases.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on program metrics and internal controls.
  • Lead personnel decisions and administer departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing projects throughout their lifecycle, including planning, research, prototype demonstration, pilot, and transition.
  • 2+ years creating and managing Work Breakdown Structures.
  • 2+ years managing Integrated Master Schedules for various projects.
