Location: Northern VA, MD, DC (Axellio's office is in Colorado Springs, CO, so you'll be remote.)

We're searching for a high-impact Federal Sales leader with deep DoD/IC relationships and a passion for delivering disruptive technologies that solve complex, real-world problems—faster, smarter, and at scale. This is not your average sales leadership role. You'll be the tip of the spear in Axellio's federal growth strategy — shaping GTM plans, building alliances, and capturing market share. You'll report directly to the CEO and work alongside a seasoned executive team with deep roots in federal technology, cybersecurity, and mission success.

What You'll Do:
- Grow federal market share: Drive pipeline and capture opportunities across DoD, Intelligence Community, and related federal agencies.
- Leverage your network: Use your deep relationships, knowledge of procurement paths, and BD muscle to open doors and close deals.
- Lead from the front: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing federal sales and BD team.
- Strategize and execute: Shape pricing, partnerships, and GTM strategies that fuel revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Capture contracts: Own acquisition strategy via direct engagements, consultants, OTAs, FAR-based contracts, and partner channels.
- Build the ecosystem: Expand partnerships with primes, system integrators, VARs, and tech alliances.
- Forecast like a pro: Deliver reliable, board-ready forecasting with actionable insights.
- Shape the future: Collaborate with the exec team to refine our product roadmap, customer experience, and market positioning.
What You Bring:
- Proven federal sales chops: At least 5 years of successful tech sales into the DoD/IC or broader federal space, success navigating the DoD/IC and Federal ecosystem, and a college degree in a technical field.
- A hunter's mindset: You're relentless in pursuit of the win, with a track record of closing complex deals and leading teams that deliver.
- Strategic + hands-on: Equally comfortable crafting GTM strategies and rolling up your sleeves to lead from the front—yes, that includes carrying a bag. Demonstrated ability to lead federal GTM functions—strategy, capture, BD, and execution. Hands-on experience with contract vehicles, OTAs, and federal procurement.
- Insider knowledge of the Fed space: You know who to call, how to navigate the maze of federal procurement, and how to build trusted relationships that turn into long-term business bringing a Rolodex of trusted relationships in defense, intel, and relevant systems integrators.
- Startup DNA: You're adaptable, resilient, and energized by speed, ambiguity, and the opportunity to build something from the ground up. Startup or emerging growth company experience is a big plus.
- Leadership: Strong leadership presence and the ability to communicate with C-level execs and mission owners alike.
