In this role, you will lead efforts to drive new business opportunities across U.S. defense and civil space sectors, working directly with company leadership and engineering teams to bring innovative space capabilities to market. As the Sales, you will identify, shape, and capture business opportunities aligned with the company's technology and service offerings, while gathering critical customer insights to inform strategic decision-making and future development. Your efforts will focus on advancing space mobility solutions and enabling the next generation of space logistics and exploration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across relevant U.S. government organizations, including the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, NASA, and other civil space entities.
- Identify, shape, and secure new business opportunities for emerging space technologies and services.
- Gather, analyze, and communicate government stakeholder strategies, requirements, and objectives to inform the company's technology roadmap and ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategies for increasing penetration and revenue within the U.S. government market.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of market dynamics, including customer needs and competitor activities, to refine business positioning and strategy.
- Support government affairs efforts at both state and federal levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline.
- In-depth understanding of government contracting, budgeting, and requirements generation processes, including the transition of prototypes to production.
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage relationships with senior officials and program stakeholders within defense, intelligence, or civil space sectors to drive adoption of new technologies and services.
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic and changing environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of securing new U.S. government revenue and launching successful programs in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
- Experience shaping and delivering novel space or complex hardware-focused programs.
- History of driving zero-to-one program development with U.S. defense, intelligence, or civil space customers.
- Recent engagement with organizations such as Space Systems Command, SPACECOM, NASA, or other key U.S. government entities in the space sector.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
