Job Details

This recruitment may be used to fill up to two (2) positions working 40 hours per week. This position maintains county roads and right of ways in safe conditions while performing a variety of job duties. This classification will operate equipment such as dump trucks, graders, rollers, and sweepers to name a few as well as other light equipment necessary to perform required job duties involved in road maintenance. This position utilizes both automatic transmissions as well as manual transmission vehicles. Employees in this classification will transport and haul various materials, will remover or add materiel to road surfaces, clean road shoulder, ditches, drains drywells, culverts and all other work associated with road maintenance. Employees will also perform hand ditching, asphalt patching, pot-hole filling and leveling of road surfaces. This classification also performs all duties necessary for winter road care.
