The Manager, HR Operations-Benefits, Leaves, Health & Safety, and Training is a Full-Time, Regular position working Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm at our Inland Imaging Business Center location in Spokane, WA.

The HR Manager is a critical role in the Inland Imaging family of companies, reporting directly to the corporate CHRO. The right candidate will have an opportunity for growth as part of our succession planning when the current CHRO retires.

Job Summary: The Manager, HR Operations-Benefits, Leaves, Health & Safety, and Training is responsible for assisting the CHRO with the day to day and strategic operations of the HR department including supporting employees and physician services including: benefits, health & safety programs, administration of leaves of absence, and coordination of leadership and employee training initiatives. Assists with employee relations, serves as a resource for HR staff and company leadership for the various Inland companies; and assists with the continuation of quality Human Resource services for the Inland Imaging companies including Inland Imaging Business Associates, Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, Nuvodia, Nuvodia Staffing, Gestalt, Inland Northwest Imaging, Integra Imaging, PS and Inland Imaging Associates, PS.

General Description: The Manager, HR Operations-Benefits, Leaves, Health & Safety, and Training must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting continual and changing deadlines, with a high level of attention to detail. Handles multiple priorities with constant interruptions, provides company leadership with guidance and proposed solutions. Collaborates with the other HR Manager to back up and provide coverage for each other; represents the department and acts in the stead of the Chief Human Resources Officer when she is not available. Manager, HR Operations-Benefits, Leaves, Health & Safety, and Training must have excellent technical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Must have the ability to make independent decisions regarding daily work priorities and other decisions based on company policies, procedures and prevailing regulations and laws. The position requires customer service diligence including accurate and timely responses to our clients' needs. A professional demeanor is required to deal with a wide variety of people at all levels.

  • Manage third party vendors to achieve high levels of efficiency and effectiveness in the development and delivery of complex HR programs, processes and services
  • Effectively manages employee safety programs for different Inland Imaging entities
  • Provides guidance to executives, managers, supervisors, and employees on various human resource issues
  • Manages the staff and overall compliance for the employee and physician leave programs including PFML, FMLA, WLAD, L&I, etc.
  • Assures appropriate management and compliance with current and developing OSHA, state specific, and federal infectious disease and Bloodborne pathogen standards
  • Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, L&I, and WA state licensure and certification requirements
  • Working with CHRO, develops training programs for employees and leadership development
  • Develops and administers programs, procedures, and plans used in carrying out human resource policies
  • Effectively manages multiple benefit programs and staff for different Inland Imaging entities
  • Provides oversight and supervision as needed to HR staff including acting as a resource to HR staff in the completion of daily duties or projects.
  • Coaches employees on performance/behavior/production and works closely with departmental manager on employee relations
  • Ensure timely and effective offboarding to meet company needs
  • Consults with labor/employment attorney on employment/labor issues as needed/requested
  • Prepares documentation and conducts disciplinary actions with employee's manager/HR in attendance; assists managers with employee performance improvement plans and progressive discipline, which may include creating/organizing PIPs or conducting the meeting with the employee
  • Continually looks for opportunities to improve processes utilizing the functionality of Workday or other technology
  • Keeps abreast of changes in legislation and court decisions to determine impact of those changes in the current employment environment and passes on information to relevant specialty area as needed
  • Prepares and updates company policies for proper approval
  • Handles general administrative responsibilities (answering phones, e-mail, mail, etc.)
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in H.R.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience required. Areas of expertise should include one or more of the following specialties: benefits, leaves of absence, health & safety, employment, employee relations, and training. Healthcare knowledge and experience highly desired Multi-State/Multi-Company HR experience desired Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with diverse groups Demonstrated ability in handling significant workload demands Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced/multi-disciplinary environment Knowledge of current federal and state laws affecting HR Strong organizational skills and leadership skills Proven verbal and written communication skills HRIS/HRMS experience required
  • Licensure: N/A
  • Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office Products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in SmartSheet, Beautiful AI, and company intranet (web portal) systems is a plus.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults. In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Business Associates will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
  • Drug Test: Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
  • License/Insurance: Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, or the ability to access multiple worksites in a timely manner.
