The Territory Sales Manager – Southeast is critical in expanding our market share in the highly attractive flexible packaging market. Responsible for generating new business within the flexible packaging market focusing on laminating and coatings applications. Drives revenue and margin growth for new and existing customers.

Key Activities

  • Expand depth and breadth in strategic regional accounts, engaging with high-level and cross-functional teams within customer organizations.
  • Present the value of the entire product portfolio to large groups, delivering concise and clear messages.
  • Grow sales by mapping customer applications, identifying decision makers, developing relationships, and initiating projects.
  • Identify key value drivers of our offerings to customers.
  • Build an annual sales plan aligned with market segment strategies and territory objectives.
  • Plan customer interactions with clear agendas, objectives, and goal setting, using Miller-Heiman sales tools effectively.
  • Follow a structured sales process, gaining commitments at each stage by identifying win scenarios, and developing complex solutions.
  • Anticipate and overcome potential objections.
  • Track and report account activity, manage a sales funnel, and develop new business.
  • Utilize a strong team selling approach.

Accountabilities

  • Achieve revenue, MVC, and MVC% budgets for the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute an annual territory plan aligned with business strategy.
  • Ensure YOY growth in sales from new accounts by a specified percentage.
  • Build and track sales projects in Salesforce.com.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in technical or commercial roles, preferably in sales within the Packaging market.
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of various communication methods.
  • Strong financial understanding and ability to build commercial proposals.
  • Interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Proactive thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, Word, PowerPoint, web navigation, and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
