AIML - Senior Applied Research Lead, Health AI

Description

In this role, you will utilize your expertise in ML and deep learning to design, implement, and evaluate innovative machine learning models and algorithms addressing complex problems with unique data and objectives. You will have opportunities to explore and develop generative AI technologies. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across functions to translate research at the intersection of Health and ML into customer-facing features.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning applied to large-scale datasets
• Strong background in generative models, natural language processing, and large language models
• Proficiency in developing large-scale models using modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax)
• Passion for applying machine learning to enhance end-user health experiences
• Leadership experience and a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer-facing features in production
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related fields, or equivalent qualification

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and handle uncertainty
• Proven experience working collaboratively within diverse teams
• Passion for building innovative, high-quality products with interdisciplinary skills

At Apple, base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package determined within a range. The pay range for this role is $201,300 to $367,400, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
