Job Details

To monitor, maintain, and restore the electric distribution system, serving our load bearing customers, on a rotating 24-hour/7 day a week basis. Evaluates and analyzes electric emergencies and trouble, prioritizes sequence of work and dispatches appropriate field personnel. Prepares, reviews, and directs electric switching procedures, Hot-Line-Holds, clearances and shutdowns in accordance with safe operating procedures during scheduled maintenance and emergency restoration. Analyzes computer, field, and customer information during outages and assists and directs field personnel in the restoration of service utilizing the EOP procedures as required. Understands electric distribution automation including Fault Detection, Isolation and Restoration (FDIR) and operates the Distribution Management System controlling operational field devices.
